Taking notes

Back in 2006 I had this vague sensation of worthlessness. I couldn't quite put it into words back then but it was there. No matter how much education or life experiences I had been through, I had this feeling that I didn't have anything of value to share with anyone.

Then this organization called Cybercap called upon me to act as a supervisor for 3 teenagers who had won a multimedia contest. We spent a week in Mont-Tremblant. At one point, one of the guys asked me a question about photography bcause he was figuring out his brand new digital camera. I started explaining to him the technicalities of digital photography and then something happened that taught me something...One of them started taking notes!

I had something to share after all. So next time you think you have nothing to give to anyone, you might want to think again. :)

Here's my Secret...

I'm sure you've heard of The Secret, by Rhonda Byrne, by now. If you're like me you've tried thinking positive no matter what happens, hoping against all hope that Magical Thinking will come through for you. Because you're special.

And if you're like me you've grown up since then. You've seen firsthand that thinking positive alone will not magically solve all your problems and it will not do your dishes for you while you're away.

That's the bad news.

The good news is that I know why.

It's quite simple. Ask yourself a question: Who are you serving? If you're like most modern people your answer will be "Myself". If you're religious or maybe spiritual your answer might be "God" or "Allah" or "Yawhe" or "Zeus"...You get the idea. In both cases you'll end up serving no one.

If you really want The Law of Attraction to work for you your answer has to be "Everyone". You are serving everyone, including yourself. And it's true. Your mere presence is serving mankind as well as all other forms of life. You just might not know it yet. And not knowing that simple fact might lead you to turn yourself away from your true path. But I digress...I don't like getting preachy.

If you want The Law of Attraction(and Life itself) to work for you, you must work for Life itself. There's a much better book out there, by Deepak Chopra, called The 7 Spiritual Laws of Success, that shows you the 7 Laws the Universe works with. And it's all true. I know it because I live it. The Law of Attraction just happens to be one of those Laws.

I've made a list of all 7 Laws.

1. The Law of Pure Potential.
2. The Law of Giving.
3. The Law of Karma or Cause and Effect.
4. The Law of Least Effort.
5. The Law of Intention and Desire (otherwise known as the Law of Attraction).
6. The Law of Detachment.
7. The Law of Dharma (Life's goal).

I won't go describing each Law individually since Dr. Chopra does it so much better than me. I wholeheartedly recommend getting his book. You can even read it online.

Thank you for reading.

Creating Abundance

I've been a fan of Steve Pavlina for a while now. He finally did a video on Creating Abundance. I really recommend it, especially if you're passionate about attracting the things you want into your life and evolving as a person.

The Power of NOW!NOW!NOW!

If you haven't heard of Eckhard Tolle's book by now, you owe it to yourself and others to buy it, read it, study it and practice it.

But I'm not blogging about that right now. I'm blogging about the power of mass consumption. I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but we're heading right towards a wall collectively right now. It boils down to the 3 E's: Energy, Environment and the Economy. Chris Martenson has devoted his time and money towards creating an Online Crash Course about the issue and you should really find the time to listen to it.

And think twice before going for that Super-Sized trio, McFatty ;-)

Dressing up!

Is a lot of fun! Especially when it's for the set. I can't say too much about this show I taped 2 weeks ago without breaking any NDA's, but suffice it to say I have a good feeling about this one. It's too bad Americans won't be able to see it...At least for now. It's coming in 2010 and everyone on the set was really supportive and professional.

See you later!

Silly me...

I forgot to introduce myself!
Hi! Do I look conceited in this pic? I'm really not, I swear! :p

Vegan Fashion Show part 2

I don't know who made this, but whoever you are, you're a genius! I caught this backstage.

I never got to speak to this girl, but she was awesome! So full of energy!

Lead singer of Commander Keane doing his thang:

Various models strutting their stuff, supporting the cause!

And finally Jalene!

If you think I'm infatuated with this girl, well I got news for ya!

...I totally am! Congrats Jalene! You've made a gay man straight hahaha.

The 2009 MONTREAL WORLD VEGAN DAY FASHION SHOW!

So I had the privilege of attending the very first World Vegan Fashion show, held right here in Montreal. The show was held at La Tulipe on November 1st. Everyone there was really collaborative and supportive. I loved it! That's Jayleen (did I spell that right?). This seriously rocking chick who's got an awesome tattoo, models and sings in a band! Is there anything she can't do?

Another pic to show off the tat! Now here's big Georges Laraque on the big screen!

And this is him strutting his stuff on the runway:

...Did you know that Laraque is also a vegan? I just like to mention that whenever I hear that going vegan is going to make you frail...

Here's a pic of my friend Lucas Solowey, one of the main organizers and a total cutie pie!

Finally here's the whole cast!

And on that note I have to run! Apparently I'm getting killed on a set tonight. So goes life. I'll upload some more pics later when I have more time. Thanks again everyone!
